Our team is comprised of talented professionals who excel at providing industry leading calibration, repair and asset management services to our customers.  We have a great opportunity for an Inside Sales Representative to join our team!  This position supports the Western US Region and can be based out of the Santa Clara/ Pleasanton, California or Chandler, Arizona area.

 

Overview

Inside Sales - Business Development is critical to the profitable growth of the company. The major commitments of the Inside Sales - Business Development Associate role are to produce new transactional sales from new customers and new transactional sales from existing customers at a regional or special project level.  The Inside Sales - Business Development Associate professional will primarily be region (territory) focused and work with specific assigned lab managers, customer care professionals, and sales executives.  Additionally, Inside Sales - Business Development Associate professionals may be working on specific growth initiative projects (campaigns) outside of their territory. The Inside Sales - Business Development Associate professional’s primary focus is on new business under a $25,000 a year annual spend.

In this role you will

  • Source new sales opportunities to meet their annual new business revenue commitment through inbound lead follow up, outbound cold calls, emails and collaboration. 
  • Manage quotation process for all online, phone and email leads
  • Generate all new customer quotations and follow up within 24 hours or less
  • Effectively partner with company resources including Operations, Outside Sales teams, Customer Service Representatives and Key Account Managers
  • Maintain all potential new client information in client relationship management tool Qualification.
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
  • Route qualified opportunities (> $25K/year) to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure
  • Performs other duties as required

 

Source of Supervision 

  • Supervised by Director of Sales.

 

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in a field related to customer service and or purchasing required.

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous inside and/or outside sales experience
  • Strong prospecting skills
  • Solid negotiation and closing capabilities
  • Able to learn relevant terminology and requirements for industry
  • Must have strong organizational skills and solid knowledge and usage of computers.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Must have solid math skills.
  • Ability to work well with others in a professional manner
